Hi Everyone

A busy week finishing with a newspaper photography shift for the Midlothian Advertiser at the weekend, after a week of conference photography in Edinburgh and some landscape and infrared photography in Leith, Edinburgh.  This week the image I am selecting for my blog is a bit different.  Mostly on blogs and social media photographers choose their most striking photos for obvious reasons, to demonstrate their skills, in the hope that they will get more business.  Sometimes however, the photo is the least important thing and this week I have chosen a standard outdoor posed shot for my blog image.  However, it is the history behind the image that is important in this case.  This image was taken for the Midlothian Advertiser, after a street in Gorebridge - David Herkes Way, was named after David Herkes, a Gorebridge man who's quick thinking lead to the capture of Robert Black. It was an honour to photograph the family and friends, in memory of someone who's actions will never be forgotten.

Anyway, of we go into the new week, some corporate event photography in Edinburgh midweek, followed by bunjee jumping photography, Glasgow at the weekend.

Until next time

Kind Regards

Colin
