Hi Everyone

I was photographing a football match, or should I say soccer for our American friends, on Saturday at my local club in Dunbar.  Now one of the things I find about sports photography and other corporate photography commissions in Edinburgh or throughout Scotland, where you have a strong interest in the subject you are photographing, is how do you separate the professional aspect from the fan or the interested spectator, well you tend to be so focused (pardon the pun) on the subject matter, your professionalism wins over.  the desire to get that perfect photo, combined with the need to appear professional and impartial tends to be so strong that you are in concentration mode and you don't say or do anything daft. I have often been so determined to get a good goal photo that I have wanted the side playing my team to score so I can get a cracking sports photo.  There are exceptions to the above, when photographing my local team, I will cheer after they score (but only after I have that goal photo and celebration photo of course).
