Professional Photography and Breaking New Ground in ScotlandHi Everyone As a fine art and corporate event photographer in Edinburgh, Glasgow and throughout Scotland, I always think it is important to keep moving into uncharted territory, rather than just repeating the same photos over and over again. This is just as true for conference photography in Scotland as it is for infrared photography. For my corporate event and sports photography, I am using new Canon R mirrorless equipment and for infrared photography, I am about to purchase an ultra wide angled 14mm manual focus lens. I lived for 15 years in Dunbar and pretty much feel I have exhausted the possibilities of seascape and infrared photography in East Lothian. I will be doing more urban photography in Glasgow, along with exploring Loch Lomond, the Kelpies, Linlithgow and Stirling. It is important to keep thinking how you can improve and break new ground. It should never be easy and you should be mentally tired at the end of each photoshoot. I have often supplied clients with infrared photos even when they didn’t request them and this gives you a good USP to sell your services, it also allows you to get creative even if the commission would suggest otherwise. Always give the client what they ask for plus a little bit more. So anyway I am off to get creative with my new equipment. Look out for an infrared photography exhibition soon, it’s been a while but the next one is in the planning stages. Until next time. Kind Regards Colin www.colinwrightphotography.co.uk www.edinburghphotographer.com
