Hi Everyone

One of my favourite locations is the Kelpies installation in Falkirk, Scotland.  As a professional fine art infrared photographer, working in Edinburgh, East Lothian and throughout Scotland, I have had to content myself with photographing more local locations during the pandemic.  In fact at this moment in time we are in lockdown and I can't go any further than Dunbar or surrounding area around East Lothian.  However, this challenging time has also enabled me to focus on specific locations and to try to perfect my photography locally, in addition to experimenting with new techniques.  I have also been able to concentrate more on my fine art landscape and infrared photography due to the reduced number of professional event and corporate commissions in Edinburgh and around Scotland, due to the pandemic.   

The Kelpies has everything, it has drama, set in an amazing landscape.  It also has everything for the infrared photographer, including metal surfaces, trees water boats, large artistic installations and combine that with the somewhat dramatic Scottish weather, then you have the perfect location for infrared photography and a great day out.  I have experimented with colour, black and white and also I have often used HDR combined with infrared to enhance the images, so I hope I have succeeded in achieving something different.

Anyway, enjoy the photographs and chin up, this can't go on forever.
