Car photography and the corporate event photographer Edinburgh Scotland

Hi Everyone

Today I am going to look at car photography and the corporate event photographer Edinburgh Scotland and how photographing cars has been an integral part of my corporate commercial photography in Scotland.  Cars are great photographic subjects and they cross over many genres.  For wedding photographers in Scotland, the car photo is an important part of the day, assuming there are classic cars.  Even if the car is not spectacular and mostly they are to be honest, the bride entering the venue is a significant part of the day and the car will be photographed.

Other uses for car photography in Scotland

As an infrared photographer in Scotland, cars have featured in some of my most successful photos.  I once photographed scrap cars in infrared for an magazine and I sold some prints following an exhibition in East Lothian. Details of this event are included in this link: IN PICTURES: Dunbar photographer's infrared project shows East Lothian in a new light | East Lothian Courier.  Many of the photos were from a scrapyard project that I photographed, details of which can be found here: Colin Wright Photography, Edinburgh and Glasgow corporate and event photographer | Scrapyard Project.

I have photographed cars as a sports photographer in Scotland in motor sport events and also photographing supercars.  Vintage cars are also excellent to photograph and this was one of my favourite subjects before I became a professional commercial photographer in Scotland.  Cars were a popular subject when I was a newspaper photographer in Scotland.  I once photographed a mustang that featured in a Hollywood film and on a less glamourous note, I had to photograph illegally parked cars in Dalkeith for the local press, so what I here you say but this turned out to be one of my more risky photoshoots as the locals were none too happy.  I even photographed cars as a conference photographer in Edinburgh, Scotland, when important speakers or delegates arrived.  Again for the newspapers I photographed famous people in cars, often straining to get a recognisable image, but I had plenty of experience of this when photographing the supercars, as we had to make sure you could recognise the participants, who bought the photos.

So there you go, just some examples of car photography, one of my favourite subjects to photograph.  I will leave you with an infrared image of a car.  Infrared captures the metal brilliantly and increases the dynamic range, which makes for a dramatic image, especially with vintage or retro style cars.

So until next time.

Kind Regards

Colin
