Professional event photographers Scotland and vacationsHi Everyone
Today I am going to look at the subject of what certain professions do when they are on holiday. As a professional event and conference photographer Edinburgh and Glasgow, I am often asked this question. Well the answer is, I enjoy my holiday but I also keep taking photos of my family and of the landscape around me. This is especially true for myself as a landscape and infrared photographer around Scotland. I may, however travel a bit lighter and take photos a bit quicker than I normally would. I also probably won’t use a tripod when I normally would but I think if you are in a different location, it’s an opportunity missed if you don’t take photos when you are away. I also have made money from images taken as an infrared photographer in Scotland while on holiday. It’s also good practice to photograph in a short space of time. I became accustomed to this as a newspaper photographer working around East Lothian and Edinburgh, you had a very limited time to shoot and you had to do it quickly. Also photographing with limited equipment ie a telephoto lens is good practice for landscape photographers in Scotland and it forces you to move into the right space to get the best result. I also think people are relaxed on holiday and without the pressure, this can be a very good time to take some of your best shots. So everyone, get out there with your camera when you are on holiday this year. Here is a photo I took whilst on holiday at the Trossachs in Scotland, I converted it to infrared on my return. Anyway, until next time. Kind Regards Colin www.colinwrightphotography.co.uk www.edinburghphotographer.com
