Hi All

A good week, ending in some newspaper photography, Edinburgh for junior football at Bonnyrigg Rose ground on Saturday, for the Midlothian Advertiser.  I covered 2 games and was unlucky enough not to be present for a single goal.  Never mind, still managed some good action shots, one attached to this blog from the first half at Bonnyrigg.  A busy week coming up with some corporate event photography in Edinburgh for a medical conference at the EICC for NHS Education for Scotland.  This is one of my busiest conference photography assignments of the year in Edinburgh and a very enjoyable one too, with some great speakers.  As a professional event and corporate photographer, based near Edinburgh, I am always looking for new things to do and I plan to expand the scope of my Infrared photography in Scotland project to include metallic prints and a range of new subjects, such as sport and eventually short videos - watch this space.  Anyway better send these shots to the newspaper.

Hi All

Another busy week again.  I have been doing a bit of infrared photography, an equine photoshoot in East Lothian and to finish of the week some, event photography in Glasgow with the UK Bungee team.  A great two days at the Riverside Museum, Glasgow, where we had over 200 jumpers in good weather, thanks again to the UK Bungee team for making it such a good event.  As a professional corporate event photographer in Edinburgh and Scotland, I often get an opportunity to participate in events and I have had a shot of the Supercars before.  However, bungee jumping is a different ball game.  I still cant pluck up the courage to do it.  So my photo of the week today is an infrared photo at the location of the bungee jumping event, at the Riverside Museum, showing the Tall Ship on the River Clyde, Glasgow, to add to my Infrared Photography in Scotland project.  I know you would probably rather see a shot of myself with a look of terror on my face as I do a jump, but this is all you get for now, maybe some other day.

This week I have some newspaper photography in Midlothian at the weekend, I am attending the Photovision Roadshow for photographers at Murrayfield in Edinburgh and as a professional corporate event photographer in Edinburgh, I will be preparing for a large Medical conference in Edinburgh next week.

Hi Everyone

After a very busy week I have a day to gather my thoughts before a corporate event headshot photoshoot in Edinburgh tomorrow.  As a professional event photographer in Edinburgh, Scotland, the last week or two have been very interesting and varied.  Whilst it is good to specialise in one particular area, to help become in expert in your field, variety keeps us fresh and alive and is very good for the creative juices.  Different types of photography also fit well together.  For instance an architecture photographer can use his/her skills to create good wedding images with building backdrops, similarly, a sports photographer will be able to catch the crucial moments at an event like a wedding. This week, I have photographed motor sport, I will be doing a corporate photoshoot in Edinburgh, a horse photoshoot in East Lothian and bungee jumpers in Glasgow at the weekend.  However, I had a very interesting and rewarding photo job last week, when I photographed someone proposing to his girlfriend at the top of the Scott Monument in Edinburgh. Once I had overcome my fear of heights it went well and the couple were great. A photo is attached to this blog. Anyway, better get out and take some infrared photos for my infrared photography in Scotland project.
