The first of two weekends of wedding photography in Edinburgh took place yesterday and it was a great day for Donna and Stephen at the Holiday Inn in Edinburgh. They really were a joy to work with and although we were indoors for most of the day, the weather held out to enable us to have a short photoshoot at Corstorphine Hill. A good day was had by all, photo attached. Next week it's on home turf when I have a wedding photoshoot at the Rocks in Dunbar, looking forward to it. Also some corporate event photography in Edinburgh next week and hopefully some infrared photography, as part of my Infrared Photography in Scotland project. I even managed some infrared photography at the wedding yesterday and plan to do a lot more at future weddings. Finally some motor sport photography at East Fortune on Friday.

As mentioned in my previous quick blog, I had a press photoshoot at the weekend at the Midstock Music Festival. Although I have photographed music before, this was my first Music Festival as an official photographer and I was a bit out my comfort zone, as My specialism is either event and corporate photography in Edinburgh or weddings, but I had a great time, it's a real buzz being on stage and the acts were great especially the Skids and Stevie McCrorie. Come to think of it, music festivals are a bit like photographing conferences, at the gig I could only photograph for the first three songs, at a conference I restrict the photography to the start of the speakers presentation. Both the conferences and speakers are on stage and it's all about catching the expressions and emotions. Mind you conferences don't sell booze and the crowd are a bit quieter. Lots of photos on the website from the gig.
This weekend I am very much looking forward to a wedding in Edinburgh, with one at the Rocks in Dunbar the following week. I am also launching my new website at www.edinburghphotographer.com, for my infrared photography in Scotland and fine art photography, it's in the early stages but tell me what you think. Corporate and Event Photographer Scotland and a bit of Infrared Photography
Hi All
Another hectic week, with the Edinburgh Fringe Festival drawing to a close, its time to get back into some sort of normality, with a corporate event photography commission in Edinburgh next week, in addition to some more infrared photography, to add to my infrared photography in Scotland project. As I have now moved to a new location in Dunbar, this is also giving me the opportunity to further my landscape photography in East Lothian and I have been shooting away locally since we arrived. I have always had a soft spot for HDR photography and I attach a recent photo taken at the East Beach in Dunbar.
At the weekend I will have some newspaper photography in Midlothian to look forward to and then its a big build up to the two wedding photography commissions I have in September in Edinburgh and East Lothian - looking forward to it.
