New Horizons for Professional Infrared and Landscape Photographers in Scotland
Hi Everyone
Now that I have moved I have been investigating the area for photographic potential. Having moved to Kirkintilloch we have discovered some great walks and opportunities for photography throughout East Dunbartonshire. The Campsie Fells is also an area new to me and it looks like it has a lot of potential for infrared photography, particularly at this time of the year with the trees and foliage still around. There is a rich countryside with a variety of potential subjects suitable for infrared and landscape photography in Scotland. In addition, I am still in the perfect position for corporate and event photography in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Central Scotland. The conference photography commissions are a still bit quiet at the moment, due to covid, however, the PR and sport is starting to kick off now. I will also be continuing my urban photography project in Glasgow and the Clyde in particular. So plenty going on. I also intend to invest in some more lenses and possibly a new Canon body and possibly some infrared equipment.

Urban Photography from Glasgow
Hi Everyone
Sorry it’s been a while since my last blog post. I recently moved to Kirkintilloch and it’s been a bit chaotic recently. However, things are starting up a bit more now and I hope to be doing some professional corporate event photography throughout Scotland in Edinburgh and Glasgow. For my infrared work, I will now be focussing more on urban photography, mostly in Glasgow, although I hope to visit Loch Lomond more and of course, living in Kirkintilloch should provide me with some opportunities to photograph canals and the Kelpies, which is only 20 minutes away.

Professional Photographers in Scotland and the Importance of Location
Hi Everyone
As some of you may know, I will be leaving the area of Dunbar, East Lothian and moving to Kirkintilloch near Glasgow. After 15 years of living by the sea next to this wonderful coastline, in a few weeks time I will be in a totally different place. I will be very sad to leave Dunbar, as a professional fine art and landscape photographer, Scotland, this is obviously a great location for photography in Scotland and the ability to nip out and photograph a sunset or a storm just at my doorstep, will be missed. However, as photographer, we should always be looking at exploring new horizons and you can only keep photographing the same subject over and over again, so many times. I will be in the ideal place to explore Loch Lomond and the Highlands, in addition to being close to Glasgow for some urban photography and also to expand on my infrared photography in Scotland project. The area is also ideal for conference and corporate event photography in Central Scotland, with quick access to both Edinburgh and Glasgow, as opposed to Dunbar which is not so central. Kirkintilloch is also famous for its canals and I will be close to the Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel, so onwards and upwards.
To celebrate the move, here is a photo taken in Glasgow, probably the best city in Scotland for urban photography.
