Hi Everyone
we have had some pretty extreme weather recently and while I am a specialist conference and corporate photographer in Scotland, working mostly indoors during the week, my weekend work is largely outdoors, either sports photography or some infrared or landscape photography in or around Edinburgh. So when you have stormy weather like the last couple of weekends you have to take your opportunities. Timing is crucial and you have to be prepared to get cold and wet but when you catch it right it is worth it.
Recently, I managed some good infrared photos, with a very detailed sky which always helps. Recently the motor sports event I covered still went ahead and although it is cold, it’s still fine.
In this weather you tend to work without a tripod, you need to wrap up well and be quick. Use all your past experience, no messing around with the dials on your camera, your hands will be too cold.
Anyway, whatever you do just get our there, you may surprise yourself.
Until next time.
